Joe Schmit is a well-known American Emmy Award-winning Sports Director and Professional Speaker working for KSTP-TV. He joined KSTP in 1985. He is also an author and Impact Leadership expert | CULTURE FIRST MINDSET AND IMPACT LEADERSHIP KEYNOTES | CSP & MN Speaker Hall of Fame. And has also been honored with a National Headliner Award for leading 5 Eyewitness News coverage of the 2001 death of Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman, Kory Stringer. In addition to his broadcasting career, he is an author, and has authored two books: “Silent Impact” and “The Impact”. Currently, he is a member of the PACER Advisory Board and the Minnesota Vikings Advisory Board.
