Alan Campbell is an American award-winning anchor and reporter working for NBC 2. He has been working for the station for quite some time now. 

Alan Campbell Career

Campbell serves as the news anchor at NBC 2 News starting at 4:30 am Monday through Friday. He began his journalism career in Charleston South Carolina where he enclosed quite a number of stories including American Idol Auditions as well as Tropical Storms. He left the station and moved on to work at KRGV, the ABC affiliate in the Rio Grande Valley where he served as the morning anchor. While still working for KRGV, he managed to win several AP awards for best newscast. It was during his time in KRGV that he enclosed stories about human and drug trafficking and immigration.

Campbell worked for the station for about four years and later on moved on to work in Detroit, Michigan, the “Motor City”, where he served as the 5 pm anchor and reporter. While still working in Detroit, he enclosed a series of events and stories including the development of autonomous vehicles, the re-birth of the city, and the death of Aretha Franklin. Some of the other stories he enclosed include a story of a boy who saved his younger brother after falling into a pool. Prior to his journalism career, he previously worked for a cruise ship traveling the world for about 6 years. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends.
