Alex Libby Biography
Alex Libby is an American meteorologist working at KARK 4, where he serves as a weekday morning meteorologist. He joined the KARK 4 team in September 2021. Before joining KARK, he worked for KBJR 6.
Maine is his native home and he previously worked at KBJR in Duluth, Minnesota where he served as a weekend meteorologist. While he reported and forecasted in the far North, he covered a record-breaking blizzard that dropped nearly 2 feet of snow. In addition, he also covered a polar vortex that made the temperatures below zero for a period of 10 consistent days.
Aside from covering winter weather, he also covered a number of severe weather outbreaks inclusive of tornadoes and baseball-sized hail. Libby attended Plymouth State University in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where he graduated with a degree in Meteorology.
Aside from studying meteorology, he also pitched for the baseball team. The American Meteorological Society awarded Libby with the Certificate of Broadcast Meteorologist in May 2022. During his leisure time, he enjoys playing football and fishing.
