Alexis Means is an American journalist working for WTVG as a general assignment reporter. She joined the station in October 2001 and has spent her time telling stories about the people and events occurring in and around Toledo, Ohio. Previously, she worked in Southfield Michigan at WXYZ as a general assignment reporter.

The workshop also helped her pick journalism as a career venture.
When she graduated college, Means relocated to her hometown where she served Sheridan Broadcasting Networks. She then served WAMO in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a news and traffic reporter for 3 years. Next, she served the ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh, WTAE, as an associate producer for 3 years. Means relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana where she served WKJG as a general assignment reporter for two years. Following this, she relocated to Detroit where she freelanced as a journalist at WXYZ. She thinks meeting people, making friends, and telling their stories is the only charming thing about TV.
Means earned a feature in the Sierah Joughin documentary, Buried in the Backyard: Sierah Joughin Vanishes From Ohio on Oxygen. During her career, she has received national attention for her Toledo stories like her broadcast of the three Toledo pastors condemned of sex trafficking a child. She received honors from the Toledo Urban Federal Credit Union for her work and devotion to the community.
