Erwin joined Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant when she finished her education at South Lyon High School. In May 2019, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Applied Arts degree in Broadcasting. In college, she worked as an intern at WJBK FOX 2 News in Detroit and WILX in Lansing.
Erwin also worked for News Central 34, CMU’s awarded student-run broadcast during her four years on campus. There, she was an anchor and reporter. Further, she worked as a member of the executive council of the sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha.

At WLUC, Erwin prepared students and students for changing occasions during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this role, she won an award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for her nonstop broadcast of back-to-school stories. The South Lyon native is thrilled to be closer to her hometown meeting new people, sharing her love for Michigan, and bringing her husband downstate to experience different events.
