Amanda Gomez is an American former anchor/reporter who is best known for her time at KVOA where she was the co-anchor of the 4 pm, 6 pm, and 10 pm newscasts. She joined KVOA in December 2019 as the anchor for News 4 Tucson Today, and later in May 2022, she left the station. She has been working as a communications specialist at the Town of Marana in Arizona since she left KVOA.
Amanda joined News 4 Tucson from KION-TV in Monterey, California, where she anchored the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts, as well as the 10 p.m. Central Coast CW newscast. Amanda covered and produced special live coverage for the horrific mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival, as well as major events like the 2019 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links, during her time with KION.
Amanda started her career as a weekend and reporter, morning and midday anchor at KXXV in Waco, Texas, before moving to KERO in Bakersfield, California, as a weekend anchor/multimedia journalist.
