Shea Sorenson Biography

Shea Sorenson is an American meteorologist working for KVOA on a weekday morning from 4:30 am to 7 am and 12 pm meteorologist. She joined KVOA in July 2019, after previously working at WATE 6. 

In 2013, Sorenson joined Mississippi State University where she studied geoscience, broadcast meteorology, and operational meteorology, and graduated in 2017. She also studied at the University of Arizona where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism in 2014.

After she graduated, she spent the summer at News 4 Tucson where she was an intern. Later on, she worked in South Bend, Indiana for 2 years and while she was there, she forecasted ice storms, thunderstorms, and lake-effect snow. Prior to returning to Tucson, she resided and worked in Knoxville, Tennessee.
