Amie Winters is an American anchor/reporter known for having worked at WEAU where she served as a morning co-anchor on the Hello Wisconsin news show. She worked for WEAU from October 2019 to May 2022. She left WEAU for a job as a Director of Marketing at the Children’s Museum of Eau Claire.

Reedsburg, Wisconsin is her native home and both her parents were radio DJs when they met. She first came to the Chippewa Valley to attend UW-Eau Claire where she graduated in 2007, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both broadcast journalism and Spanish.

Later on, she started her career at the ABC affiliate in Eau Claire where she served as an anchor, producer, and anchor for almost 10 years. In addition, for a piece she wrote about the nonprofit organization Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, she was nominated for an Upper Midwest Emmy award.

Furthermore, she left television for a number of years, and not long ago, she worked at the Children’s Museum of Eau Claire where she served as the director of marketing. While she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her nine-year-old daughter while they build, go on nature hikes, and play with their pups Dash and Dante. Together with her fiance, they enjoy going camping and visiting different breweries throughout the Chippewa Valley.
