Danielle Wagner Biography

Danielle Wagner is an American anchor working at WEAU 13 News where she served as the co-anchor of the 5 pm newscast alongside Judy Clark and at 6 pm and 10 pm alongside Bob Gallaher. She joined WEAU 13 News in June 2015, as a weekend anchor/multimedia journalist. 

She took up her living role as the 5, 6, and 10 p.m co-anchor in January 2017, at WEAU. Oelwein is her native home and in 2005, she graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in journalism and history. Wagner started her broadcast journalism career at KTVO where she serves as a bureau reporter in Ottumwa, Iowa. Later on. she joined KWWL in Waterloo, Iowa where she served as a reporter. In addition, she worked for over seven years at the station reporting and anchoring the weekend morning news. In addition, the Iowa Broadcast News Association has awarded her honors for her reporting and anchoring.

Furthermore, she is also passionate about pets and promoting pet adoption as she currently has six rescue dogs. She promotes pet adoption with a weekly segment on WEAU called Wagner Tails which airs on Thursday, that features adoptable pets from many pet shelters and rescues across western Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association honored the Wagner Tails segment for its community impact. During her spare time, she enjoys binge-watching TV shows, online shopping, reading, spending time with her six rescue dogs, and being an aunt to her two nephews and one niece.
