Andrew attended Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, CT, not far from his hometown of Marlborough, where he majored in journalism and psychology.

KOLD-TV (UHF digital channel 32) is a CBS-affiliated television station licensed to Tucson, Arizona, in the United States. Gray Television owns the station and also operates Fox affiliate KMSB (channel 11) and MyNetworkTV affiliate KTTU (channel 18) under a shared services agreement (SSA) with Tegna Inc. The three stations share studios on North Business Park Drive on Tucson’s northwest side, which previously housed the Raycom Design Group, an in-house firm that created graphics packages for Raycom Media’s television stations. The transmitter for KOLD-TV is located atop Mount Bigelow.

The station also has a fill-in translator on VHF channel 13, with the transmitter located in the Tucson Mountains west of Tucson. Although KOLD’s call letters sound like “cold” when spoken as a word, the station is never referred to as such; it is always referred to on the air as “K-O-L-D.” KOPO-TV was Arizona’s second television station, and the first in Tucson. Channel 13 obtained the CBS affiliation as a result of its radio sisters’ long association with CBS Radio. It was also affiliated with DuMont. In 1957, the station’s call letters were changed to KOLD-TV in order to compete with its sister station, KOOL-TV (now KSAZ-TV in Phoenix).
