Andy Olson is an American Sports Anchor and Reporter working for WCIA Channel 3 serving as a sports reporter. Before joining the station in June 2019, he worked as a radio broadcaster at the Kenosha Kingfish of the Northwoods League.

Olson finished high school at Lakes Community High School where he graduated with a diploma. After high school, he attended Illinois State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism in May 2019. During his time at the university, he worked as a sports anchor and reporter at TV-10 and WZND, the student campus station.
For his work at Campus, Andy was awarded with various awards including the Most Outstanding Soft Radio Program from the Student Illinois News Broadcasters Association. Besides this, he was also honored with the Most Outstanding Sports Radio Play-by-Play from the same association.
Currently, Andy works as a sports reporter at WCIA Channel 3 in Champaign Illinois. He joined the station in June 2019 and accepted the position as a sports reporter in November 2020. While at WCIA News, Olson covers sports games mainly ranging from local sports, college basketball, and high school athletics. He also brings analysis of team performance trends throughout the season and offers access to exclusive news about emerging talents.
