Thus, her passion for investigative journalism was ignited. That story won her the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication Best Broadcast Journalism Story Award.
Harris believes that is the ideal balance of maintaining the public’s trust and telling a good story while sticking to the facts. Being passionate about all three is what makes a really good news reporter, according to her. She loves Charleston for its charm, class, and food.
