Jarrett works for WDSU in New Orleans where he serves as a meteorologist alongside Randi Rousseau and Chad Sabadie on WDSU News This Morning, weekday mornings from 4:30 to 7 a.m. Most recently. he has covered California’s record-setting 2020 wildfire season that claimed numerous lives and damaged more than four million acres of land. Art’s forecasts on the changing weather conditions provided California’s Central Coast residents. The information they needed to stay safe and evacuate when necessary.
Prior to joining WDSU-TV, Art worked at KSBW and Central Coast ABC, the Hearst-owned NBC/ABC duopoly in the California market, and the Monterey-Salinas. Where he started on weekends in 2010 and moved into the role of weekday morning meteorologist in 2015. While at the KSBW, Jarret covered hundreds of hours of severe weather including countless flooding, rolling debris, wildfires, mudslides, and air quality risks. Furthermore, Art graduated from Mississippi State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Meteorology. Additionally, he also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Television, and Film Broadcasting from San Jose State University.
