Pollack broadcasted stories of lost photos being returned to western Kentucky families following the destructive tornadoes of 2021. He also broadcasted two Kentucky Derbys including Rich Strike’s victory in the 2021 Derby, where he won at 80-1 odds.
Before working in Lexington, Pollack worked in Greenville, North Carolina where he served WITN as a morning and noon anchor. He kickstarted his broadcasting career in Bridgeport, West Virginia at WDTV. At first, he dreamed of a baseball career but later realized that he wasn’t good enough for the college or professional level. Before transitioning to news, he delivered play-by-play commentary for a minor league affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. Additionally, he broadcasted in the summer in the Alaska Baseball League.
