Before that, she worked for KNVO-TV in South Texas where she began as a host of a variety of of entertainment television shows and then transitioned to radio and news. While there from 2007 to 2011, she reported the weather in English and Spanish including coverage of Hurricane Dolly in 2008. Before her career as a meteorologist, she was a member of a Regional Mexican band, spending much of her time on the road performing. Her band, La Onda received two Latin Billboard Music Awards. As of now, she also enjoys singing, but when she is home she likes spending her time with her family.
