Beddoes joined Virginia Tech University when he finished his high school education. In May 2019, he graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Meteorology and a Geography minor. During college, he finished various internships including at WRIC in Richmond and WVVA in Bluefield.
At WVVA, Beddoes first appeared on TV doing the weather. He also volunteered at the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, Virginia for one summer. Further, he delivered forecasts for Hokie Weather Watch, a student meteorology club at Virginia Tech.

During his time working at WHSV, Beddoes started doing weather in 2020 and later began weather reporting and general news reporting. He is thrilled to be forecasting the weather in Kentucky and learning more about the region.
