Ben Senger is an American journalist working for WSAV as a weekday evening co-anchor at 5, 5:30, 6, 10 & 11 p.m. since joining the station in July 2015. Previously, he worked for KPTV Fox 12 Oregon in Portland, Oregon as an anchor and reporter for nearly 5 years.

Senger joined the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul in 1996 when he finished his high school education. In 2000, he graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Business Administration and Management with a Journalism minor.

Senger works for WSAV as a weekday evening co-anchor at 5, 5:30, 6, 10 & 11 p.m. Moving to Savannah was easy because he was already in love with the state and respected the region thanks to his family’s yearly vacations to Tybee Island.
He has worked as a journalist for more than 15 years beginning his career in Minneapolis. In Minneapolis, he worked behind the scenes as a news writer before landing his first on-air TV job in Duluth, Minnesota, where he worked as a reporter.
In 2002, his affair with the South and his career took off. He spent the next 8 years working in Nashville, Knoxville, and Winston-Salem as an anchor and reporter. Then, he worked in Portland, Oregon for nearly 5 years before moving to Savannah, Georgia.
Senger went on an implant assignment with the 101st Airborne in Kuwait before the Iraq war started. He considers this as his most rewarding assignment. He is passionate about education matters since he is a father.
