Bo Evans is an American journalist working for KTVT as a multimedia journalist since joining the station in March 2024. Previously, he broadcast stories globally for all 60+ of the local stations for the E.W. Scripps Company for Scripps News.
Bo Evans Education
Evans joined the University of Maryland in 2008 after finishing his high school education. In 2012, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government. He returned to the school in 2015, where he joined the Philip Merrill College of Journalism. In 2016, he graduated with a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. While there, he learned how to use a camera and produce packages for the student-run news program.

Evans works for KTVT as a multimedia journalist. He grew up in Northern California, just east of San Francisco, spoiled with the best weather on the planet. He didn’t realize just how good the weather was until he relocated to Maryland for school, experiencing the harsh East Coast humidity. He then tasted the biting Midwest winters, the Florida sunshine, and eventually the Rocky Mountains. He is happy to get a little taste of the Texas heat.
Before KTVT, Evans broadcast stories globally for all 60+ of the local stations for the E.W. Scripps Company for Scripps News. He spent a lot of time on planes to many interesting places, including hunting pythons in the Florida Everglades and the steps of the Capitol on January 6th. He initially didn’t pursue journalism, as he though that he would work in politics.
After graduating from college, Evans served a polling firm in Seattle and later a congressional campaign in his home district in California. He decided to change careers after helping the candidate win a victory. Thus, he went on an internship at the local sports radio station and then applied to journalism school.
After working in TV news for nearly 8 years, he has had stints in Bismarck, Fort Myers, and Denver. He is thrilled to live in North Texas and looks forward to producing quality journalism and talking about the great stories in Texas.
