Bob Kovachick Biography
Bob Kovachick is an American meteorologist working for WNYT serving as the Chief Meteorologist. He joined the station in April 1988 as NewsChannel 13’s chief meteorologist.

Kovachick is in charge of delivering and preparing daily weather forecasts for the 5, 5:30, and 6 p.m. newscasts. He has been working as a meteorologist for almost three decades now. He has attained his experience in meteorology through employment at the Universal Weather Service in White Plains NY, WTEN in Albany, and WTAE in Pittsburgh.
Kovachick also pays a visit to several foundations, schools, and organizations where he has a conversation about the weather and all that involves meteorology. He is also a recognized member of the National Weather Association as well as the American Meteorological Society. He has attained the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval in Television Weathercasting. Kovachick attended Lyndon State College in Lyndon, Vermont where he attained his B.S. in Meteorology in 1971.
Kovachick also enjoys playing softball, bowling, and tennis. He also finds pleasure in spending some time with his wife Jill and two children.
