Gretzinger co-anchors Live at 4 with Subrina Dhammi and Live at 5:30 with Elaine Houston. He established a segment #ColdCase13 in 2018. The segment profiles unsolved murders and disappearances from around the Capital Region. He also knows the importance of not forgetting about cold cases. He has also managed to win several awards including an Emmy winner and 11-time nominee.
Gretzinger is well known for his conversational style of storytelling and positive news reports and it just so happens that his stories are so inspiring and heartwarming. His segments #ColdCase13 and The Upside have also managed to gain him fame and were also recognized by the New York Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He was also recognized by New York State Associated Press Association, and New York State Broadcasters Association. Gretzinger had worked for other stations prior to joining WNYT. He previously worked for WRGB where he served as an anchor and reporter. Gretzinger attained his Bachelor of Arts from Marist College.
Gretzinger grew up in the first Capital of New York State, Kingston, and lives in Saratoga County with his wife Erin and their five children. Whenever he is not working, he finds pleasure in tennis, coaching youth basketball, baking, participating in theater, and DIY projects. He also enjoys performing in one of his Frank Sinatra or Rat Pack revues or alongside Benita Zahn in one of their Singing Anchors productions.
