Brandon Johansen Biography
Brandon Johansen is an American Digital Journalist/Director working with the City of Fresno in Fresno, California, where he serves the team as an Assistant Director Of Communications. He has been working with the City of Fresno since December 2021. Prior to this, he was working with ABC30 News as a Journalist between December 2018 and March 2022 for which he is best known.

Brandon attended Fowler High School and Reedley College before attending college in Phoenix and working in Bakersfield. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. Brandon interned at Fox Sports Arizona and reported for the college television station while in Phoenix. Johansen went to KERO-TV in Bakersfield after graduation, where he worked for nearly three years as a general assignment news reporter and weekend evening anchor.

Prior to joining KERO-TV, he was working with FOX Sports Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona Area where he served the station as a Production Intern. He undertook this role between August 2015 and December 2015. He has also previously worked as a Barista at Starbucks between January 2013 and December 2015.
Asides from this, he has also previously worked with One-Putt Broadcasting in Fresno, California where he was serving the team in Promotions/Production between May 2015 and August 2015. He had also previously worked as an Intern for the company between May 2014 and August 2014.
This is in addition to working as an Intern at Bonneville Phoenix – KTAR and Arizona Sports between August 2014 and May 2015. Johansen is also privileged to have worked with State Center Community College District, Reedley College between August 2011 and May 2013 as a Sports Announcer.
