Bree Sison is a well-known American Award-winning Journalist working for WTVR-TV as an Anchor and Investigator of The E.W. Scripps Company. She joined WTVR in August 2019. Prior to joining WTVR-TV, she worked in other various broadcasting stations.

There, she launched a brand new 4 p.m. newscast and produced and reported the EMMY nominated series “Working On Your Bill” saving viewers more than 300,000 in medical bills. Prior to joining WTVR, she worked for WBRC FOX6 News as an Anchor from September 2016 to August 2019. There, she completed deep investigative stories for all platforms and coordinated many moving parts to produce, report, write, shoot, and edit complex public policy stories on extremely tight deadlines, among others. Moreover, she was a board member of the Alabama Head Injury Foundation and Animal League of Birmingham. Prior to that, she was an Anchor/Reporter at WBZ, CBS Boston from April 2012 to April 2016.
During her time there, she covered the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the Boston Marathon bombings, the manhunt, and recovery, the case against Aaron Hernandez, a Red Sox World Series win, a Patriots Super Bowl win, a Deflategate, a deadly nationwide meningitis outbreak, and approximately 75 snow storms. Also, she dug into the myriad issues surrounding mental health thus developing an award-winning series called “Matters of the Mind”. There also she self-produced Emmy-nominated pieces, researching several facets of the problem locally and making many deep connections with experts, advocacy groups, and patients. From October 2009 to April 2012, she worked for WEAR Channel 3 ABC News as a Morning Anchor. There, she anchored live in the field for two months during the Gulf Oil Spill among other stories.
Prior to that, she was a Morning Anchor/General Assignment Reporter at WMBB ABC News 13 from November 2006 to October 2009. There, she anchored the market’s number-one-rated morning show and produced the show with creativity and accuracy. In 2006, she interned at WTVR where she launched her TV news career. Being an avid sports fan, she earned an England EMMY Nomination for stories about the Red Sox World Series win because of her fun and light-hearted demeanor. In addition, she served as an integral part of a news team that earned a National EMMY for breaking news, the Alfred I. duPont Award, and a Peabody Award in 2014.
