After graduating from high school, Boudreaux joined James Madison University in 2010 where she received a minor in Sports Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism in 2013. She was also a member of the Madison Club, the Society of Professional Journalists, and Phi Mu.

Earlier, she worked for ABC 13 in Houston, Texas where she served as an anchor and traffic reporter. While there, Brheanna reported extensive stories such as the killing of Police Officer Sandeep Dhaliwal, the Astroworld Fest tragedy, and the Uvalde Elementary school shooting. She also hosted the domestic violence town hall and assisted the city in navigating evacuations.
Before working in Houston, Boudreaux spent one year and seven months working at WTKR News 3 as an anchor and reporter from August 2017 to February 2019. Prior to working at WTKR News, Brheanna served as a morning news anchor at KELO-TV. As an anchor, she was responsible for editing scripts, providing breaking news, and updating social media platforms. Brheanna served the station for more than a year from March 201 to August 2017.
Brheanna started her journalism career at KLFY TV 10 in Lafayette working as a weekend anchor, MMJ, and producer. On weekdays, she worked as a multimedia journalist from November 214 to March 2016. Her remarkable story includes the story of three men who were sentenced to 20 years in prison wrongfully. She also covered the Grand 16 movie theatre shooting in Lafayette and Hurricane Florence.
Aside from working as a journalist, Boudreaux also worked as a soldier at the United States Army National Guard. She served the station for seven years from December 2010 to December 2017. She is also involved in various programs such as the Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Red Cross, and partners with Dress for Success.
