Brian Carlson is an American Emmy Award-Winning anchor and reporter serving as the co-anchor of Good Morning Utah which airs from 5 to 8 a.m. and Midday from Noon – 1 p.m. He began working for the station in September 2008.

Carlson serves as the co-anchor of Good Morning Utah which airs from 5 to 8 a.m. and Midday from Noon – 1 p.m. at ABC 4, Utah. He previously worked for KNDU in Kennewick, Washington where he began his career serving as a reporter and anchor from 2004 to 2008. It was in high school that he got his first taste for on-air news where he served as the anchor of the school’s weekly show at a Salt Lake area TV station. After his high school studies, he joined Brigham Yung University where he attained his bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Carlson has also been awarded several awards ever since he started his journalism career. For instance, he won a regional Emmy for his report titled “Spice in the City.” He also enclosed a young black detective who infiltrated the KKK called Ron Stallworth. His report became the catalyst for the “BlacKkKlansman”, a film that won an Oscar award and was directed by Spike Lee.

Carlson also reported on every topic of interest including jumping out of an airplane or going 57 mph down the Olympic skeleton track and an elderly couple discovered they lost all they had in a Utah wildfire. In addition to that, he had also spent some time working for the former Utah Jazz Bear.
