Cameron Hopman is an American meteorologist working for WKOW as the chief meteorologist since joining the station in January 2024. Previously, he worked for WEVV 44 News in Evansville, Indiana as the chief meteorologist for nearly 6 years.
Cameron Hopman Education
Hopman joined Eastern Illinois University in 2006 when he finished his high school education. There, he originally pursued a Secondary Education Major and chose to switch his major in early 2008, registering for as many Meteorology and Climatology courses as possible.
Hopman worked with the Eastern Illinois University Weather Center and volunteered at the school’s awarded student-run newscast, News Watch, on WEIU. He worked on-screen and behind the camera for two years. In December 2010, he graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Geography and a Broadcast Meteorology minor.

Before Evansville, Hopman worked for WLFI in West Lafayette Indiana for 7 years. There, he started as a morning and noon meteorologist before being promoted to chief meteorologist. He worked as the chief meteorologist for three years, researching, producing, and presenting forecasts for News 18 at 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m.
