Catherine Silver is an American Reporter/Anchor/Author working with WKMG News 6 in Orlando, Florida serving the station as a News Reporter since April 2022. Prior to this, he was working for KKTV 11 News where he serves the station as a News Reporter and Weekend Anchor. He joined the station in September 2017 and left the station in April 2022.

Her story began in the year 2001 when she published her debut book. At that time, she was only 9 years old and it was, therefore, a major thing. It is her writing that has brought her around the country since then.
She has served the station as a reporter since April 2022 when she left the mountains of Colorado to return to the beaches of her hometown. Her story began in Orlando where she first discovered her love of writing. It is her impression and love of storytelling that blossomed into what is now a career that has also taken her on an unforgettable, cross-country journey.
She kick-started her career in broadcast journalism in the state of Florida where she was born and raised. While she was attending Florida State University, she spent about a summer at NBC South Florida in Miami. There she was helping experienced teams of investigative journalists share important local stories that made a difference to the neighbors they served. She also states that the work was able to do for the community solidified her calling to become a journalist.
The year 2014 saw her buy some winter coats and boots and also moved to Minnesota. Then, she was eager to start her career at the PBS-owned station KAWE Lakeland News. While there, she was serving the station as a reporter/anchor on the evening newscasts. This was prior to joining the KSNB NBC Nebraska team in the year 2015.
The year 2017 saw her head to the mountains where she was spending nearly five years in Colorado Spring working as a lead reporter and weekend anchor. There, she also covered stories across Colorado which include high-profile court cases, the tragic mass shooting at a Boulder supermarket, and wildfires.
Her time in Minnesota, Nebraska, Colorado, and now back in Florida has taught her that everyone has a story to share, and those shared moments matter to us all. She is also excited to tell stories now in her hometown on WKMG News 6. Additionally, she also says she is only looking forward to seeing the snow again on vacation.
Away from work, he loves going to the news, listening to music, and spending time with friends. Asides from that she enjoys meeting new people and is always up for traveling to a new place and trying new things. She states that her favorite food is usually Italian food and her favorite genre of music is classic rock, country, and pop. Asides from that her favorite musical group/singer is Taylor Swift, her favorite website, clickorlando.com, and her favorite sport is dance. Last but not least she states that her favorite team is Florida State and her favorite movie is Top Gun.
