Chris Onorato Biography
Chris Onorato is an American journalist working for WNYT as an anchor. He joined WNYT as a sports photojournalist in January 2010.

Onorato co-anchors NewsChannel 13 Early Today and Today alongside Faith King. Since the day he set foot in WNYT, he has always had the urge to tell sports stories that are not only reliable but meaningful as well. Additionally, he has also managed to enclose major sports events and stories like the Giants training camp in the summer of 2010. He also reported and produced “High School Football Two-A-Days” a series of high school football team profiles. He then aimed at the Saratoga Race Course for a series of feature stories in the summer of 2011. The series “Summer at Saratoga” mainly focused on some traditions including the race for picnic tables on Travers Saturday, which make the 40 days of racing so special in Spa City.
Onorato is more glad to cover the story of Michael Mercado, a Capital Region resident and one of the nation’s best blind golfers. He had also worked for other stations prior to joining WNYT. Onorato previously worked for WWNY in Watertown, NY where he served as a news reporter & anchor. While there, he had the chance to enclose which houses the 10th Mountain Division, one of the most deployed units of the U.S. Army, and sitting and former presidents of the United States’ visits to Fort Drum. Onorato graduated from Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College. He resides in Saratoga Springs, where his passion for horse racing continues to grow.
