Dhammi co-anchors NewsChannel 13 Live at 4 with Jerry Gretzinger and NewsChannel 13 Live at 6 with Mark Mulholland. Her career started at WNYT immediately after graduating from college. She first began as the Berkshire County news chief, where she was in charge of the following news all throughout Berkshire County, Mass and Bennington County, Vt. She then moved after a year to the main station in Albany where she served as a fill-in anchor as well as a reporter.
Dhammi has also managed to enclose quite a number of presidential visits. She was also the lead reporter when tropical storms Irene and Lee hit the Capital Region, causing some of the worst storm-related damage this area has seen in years. Dhammi was nonetheless among the station’s main reporters who were sent to Boston to enclose the Boston Marathon bombings. She is not only good in journalism but also in movies as she was given a role in the movie “The Place Beyond the Pines,” shot in Schenectady.
Dhammi switched gears into a permanent anchor role in 2010 on NewsChannel 13 Live at Noon. After two years, she began co-anchoring the Capital Region’s favorite morning show. Dhammi attended Syracuse University where she graduated. She resides in North Greenbush with her husband and their beautiful daughter. Whenever she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband and enjoying the outdoors.
