Chris Tatum is an American morning co-anchor for WJCL 22 morning news. He has been a broadcaster for seven years on the WEPA radio station.

Tatum is working as a morning co-anchor of WJCL 22. He has begun his career in 1985 at WEPA working as a  broadcaster in a radio station in Eupora, Mississippi before joining the Navy. While he has worked for 7 years he continued working n radio working at stations in Starkville and Columbus before moving to Nashville.

He has made his transition to Tv News working at WSMV. He has worked at WZTV in Nashville as well as TV stations in Huntsville, and Birmingham, Alabama. Chris said that “Journalism is a chance, not just to witness history in the making, but to help write it,” Chris says. “Being a journalist is not a job, but a calling; a privilege I don’t take lightly.”

He has been receiving Awarded honors from the Associated Press as well as two trophies from the Birmingham Association of Black Journalists. He has been covering a wide range of stories, from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to exposing government corruption.
