Chris Vickers is an American meteorologist working for WTOL as the chief meteorologist. In this role, his forecasts air on weeknights at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. He joined the station in 2008 and has served the station for over a decade.
Chris Vickers Education
Vickers joined Ohio University when he finished his high school education. He later graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Meteorology and a Physics minor. While in college, he worked as the founder and president of the Ohio University Meteorology Club. He also worked as a senior forecast supervisor at Scalia Laboratory for Atmospheric Analysis.

Vickers is a big supporter and leader of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway in Toledo. In this role, he shares the stories of brave kids and families in the fight against pediatric cancer. Further, he has traveled to four events at St. Jude in Memphis, most recently to receive the award for the 2019 St. Jude Dream Home Campaign of the Year Award.
Vickers won an Emmy nomination for the coverage and awareness he increased while running the New York City Marathon as a St. Jude Hero in November of 2016. He ardently supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and terminating childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. In 2017, he returned the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway to Toledo. Since then, they have raised more than $5.5 million dollars for the kids at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

In 2018, Vickers won the St. Jude Champion of the Year Award. The following year, he received the St. Jude Dream Home Campaign of the Year Award at the National Night of Recognition at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Memphis.
