Christian Cazares is an American eleven-time Emmy Award-winning Anchor/Reporter working with KSWB FOX 5 San Diego as a news reporter. He joined the station in 2023. Previously, he served in Las Vegas at KLAS as a co-anchor of the 4 PM newscasts. Additionally, he reported for the 5, 6, and 11 PM newscasts. Prior to joining KLAS-TV’s 8 News Now, he was working as a reporter in the San Francisco Bay Area, Philadelphia, San Diego, and New Jersey. However, Las Vegas has a special place in his heart as it is one of the cities where he nurtured his passion for journalism and it is this same passion that brings him back a second time to Las Vegas, the city he now calls home.

He has also served on the board of the Pacific Southwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Asides from that, he has also been recognized for his journalistic career by the NAACP, the Society of Professional Journalists, the San Diego Press Club, Congress, and the Senate. Prior to kick-starting his journalism career, he graduated from California State University in Monterey Bay. Away from work, he enjoys exploring Las Vegas’s culinary scene, the local dog parks, and Red Rock.
