Before joining KTVE/KARD, Christina worked as a multimedia journalist for Spectrum News 13 in Orlando. During Christina’s stint at the 24-hour cable news channel, she covered a number of major breaking news stories that went viral. Among the stories addressed are the Pulse nightclub shooting, Hurricanes Irma and Matthew, the death of a Voice candidate, and the worldwide manhunt for Markeith Loyd.
Loyd was placed on the FBI’s most-wanted list after a long police manhunt intensified after he allegedly killed an Orlando police officer. Before going to Orlando, Christina began her on-air career with KIFI Local News 8 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. For two years, she worked as a reporter/weekend anchor for ABC, CBS, and Fox.
Christina, on the other hand, worked hard behind the scenes before stepping into the spotlight. She wanted to learn every aspect of the industry so that she could have a thorough understanding of it. After graduating from California Polytechnic State University with a BS in Journalism, Christina took a job at a local news station in San Luis Obispo, CA.
She began her career at NBC affiliate KSBY-TV as a production technician and was rapidly promoted to nightside producer. She worked at the station for nearly three years. Christina spends her free time hiking, traveling to new places, eating new foods, and spending quality time with her friends. She also enjoys long walks with Harlow, her adorable Shiba Inu.
