Corey Howard Biography

Corey Howard is an American sports anchor and reporter working for WSAV-TV where he serves as a weekend sports anchor and reporter. He joined WSAV-TV in January 2022, after previously working at KALB-TV where he was a sports anchor and reporter.

In 2011, Howard joined Grambling State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications in 2015. Later on, he joined Louisiana State University where he earned a master of arts in mass communication and media studies in 2017.

While working at WSAV, he is looking forward to sharing his passion for sports and using his ability as a storyteller to inspire the community. Prior to relocating to Savannah, he worked at the NBC affiliate in Alexandria, Louisiana where he served as a news and sports anchor for a period of two years. He also joined the U.S. Army Reserves where he specialized in military coverage.

In addition, while Howard worked in Louisiana, he was honored with many statewide awards for outstanding sports coverage, community service, and breaking news reporting. Furthermore, his favorite sports assignment as of the moment is covering the 2019 National Championship watching the LSU Tigers beat Clemson. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi and he is looking forward to making new friends.
