Mark Hamblen Biography
Mark Hamblen is an American retired sports anchor and host who worked for KALB as a sports director and morning show host of Good Day Cenla which airs on weekdays at 9 am. He joined the KALB-TV news team in 1982, and later in December 2021, he left the station for his retirement.
Hamblen attended Germantown High School in Germantown, Tennessee where he graduated with a diploma, and later on, he studied at Memphis State University. After he graduated from Memphis State University, he began his on-air career at KALB-TV in 1982. He has over three decades of experience in his career at Channel 5 where he served as a sports director.
Over the years, he has been awarded a number of awards including the Associated Press Award, and in 2010, he shifted to the morning show where he served as the host of Jambalaya until 2012 when he left the station. In addition, for the last year and a half, he worked in the home healthcare industry as a marketing representative.
