Courtney Cole Biography

Courtney Cole is an American journalist working for WJAX serving as an anchor for the Action News Jax This Morning: Weekend every Saturday and Sunday. She joined the station in March 2018.

Courtney Cole Career

Cole is an anchor who has also managed to enclose stories that hit the headlines including the former Vice President Mike Pence’s visit to Jacksonville to discuss the USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement), and an exclusive one-on-one interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. The November 2020 Election Night coverage in Tallahassee, a COVID-19 fact-vs-fiction series, and the investigation into efforts to privatize JEA are also some of the things she has done over the years.

Cole had also worked for other stations prior to joining WJAX. Previously, she worked for WSAV News 3 in Savannah, where she served as an Anchor/Producer and Reporter. She got her start at WPTV in West Palm Beach, Florida right after graduating from Hampton University. Cole is a Chicago native and is so glad to call the South home for 8 years.

Whenever she is not in the office, she enjoys reading books or newspapers, trying out new recipes in her kitchen, and most importantly spending some time with her family and friends. She also has a dog by the name of Harper and enjoys every second she is with him. Cole is also very active in her social media pages including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Her passion for journalism began when she was just a young girl and did everything so as to achieve her dreams of becoming a journalist and for this is nothing but a dream come true.
