Emily Turner Biography
Emily Turner is an American two-time Emmy Award Winning journalist working for WJAX as an anchor/reporter. She joined the station in July 2021.

Turner attended The Bolles School from 1990 to 2003. She, later on, joined the University of Oxford to study History, Literature and graduated in 2004. She then graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Telecommunications.

Turner is an investigative reporter as well as an anchor for the Sunday evening newscasts on Action News Jax. She has also managed to win several awards including the Emmy Award whereby she won the award twice and has been working in the TV career for more than 14 years. She has nonetheless enclosed many events that gained popularity all over the country. For instance, she enclosed the covered Trayvon Martin and Casey Anthony cases and managed to attain two Emmys for covering wildfires in California. She also enclosed the ground during the Gulf oil spill and was one of the first journalists to report live on the ground.
Turner had also worked for different stations prior to joining WJAX in 2021. Previously, she worked in Mobile, Alabama where she worked as a reporter and later on, moved to Orlando and back to Jax with Channel 4. She then moved to Tucson, Arizona, and worked as an anchor prior to working for NBC Sports Network where she served as a hosting and sideline reporter.
Turner then moved to CBS in San Francisco where she served as an anchor and did the weather for seven years. Turner enjoys teaching English as a second language, often involves herself with community service and classes, and also enjoys playing golf. She is always full of smiles and is ever grateful to be working for the station.
