After she graduated from college, she joined KVRR-TV in Fargo, North Dakota where she served as a weekend anchor/producer and multimedia journalist for about two years. During her time at KVRR-TV, she enclosed quite a number of well-known events including the major flooding in the Red River Valley and the kidnapping and murder case of a 22-year-old pregnant woman.

Ever since she started her journalism career, she has managed to win several awards including an AP award for a piece she did on human trafficking in Fargo-Moorhead. She also publicized some of her most unforgettable stories including a 32-year-old woman who had cerebral palsy and created a commercial for Apple. Her other memorable story is about the Amish man who ran away from Wisconsin to North Dakota as a teen. Whenever she is not working, she enjoys trying out new recipes, and music, going to local coffee shops, and trying out new recipes. She is also very active when it comes to fitness and lifestyle as well as trying to see visit every baseball park in the U.S.
