Dave Busch is an American meteorologist working for WCAX as a weekend meteorologist since joining the station in August 2000. In April 2001, he started working weekdays in the production department.

Busch joined the University of New England after finishing his education at Warwick Valley High School. He later joined the University of Oklahoma, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology in 1998. He loved chasing tornadoes in college and had seen at least two of them. Moreover, he was a volunteer meteorologist on Norman News, owned and operated by the University of Oklahoma. That experience made him realize that he wanted to pursue meteorology.
After studying at the University of Oklahoma, Busch spent one year at the New England School of Communications in Bangor, Maine, earning a Certificate in Broadcasting in May 2000, along with being awarded Student of The Year.

He used to go outside on his porch during a thunderstorm and just gaze at the sky during his childhood.
