Dave Mazza is an American Chief Meteorologist working for NBC4 since joining the station in October 2012. You can catch him during the week at 4 pm, 5 pm, 530pm, 6 pm, 7 pm, and 11 pm.

Dave Mazza Career

Prior to joining Storm Team 4, Dave worked all over Texas – from NBC affiliates in San Angelo in West Texas, San Antonio, and Austin, to the CBS affiliate in Corpus Christi. A native of Crystal Lake, IL, he attended Purdue University (Boiler Up!) and earned his bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science.

Mazza is a member of the American Meteorological Society and earned the AMS’s prestigious designation of Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (Seal #493). His first job was delivering newspapers twice a week – mainly to buy baseball cards (which he still has) and save money (which he no longer has).
