David George Biography
David George is an American anchor/reporter working for KSNT News as a news anchor a position he took up in July 2020. He joined KSNT in February 2018, as a morning meteorologist.
He has over 40 years of television news experience and over the years, he has worked in Minnesota, Texas, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Alaska before relocating to Kansas. David started his career at KWTX-TV in Waco, Texas in 1983, while he was still at Baylor University during his senior year. After he earned his degree, he stayed for 4 years, before he secured a job at KOTV-TV in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and while he was there, he finished a Doppler training at the National Severe Storms Laboratory.
George relocated to El Paso, Texas in 1990, and while he was there, he worked at KVIA-TV. He also took graduate-level coursework in atmospheric sciences while he was in El Paso, Texas. After residing and working in Far West Texas for a number of years, he relocated to Minneapolis where he worked at KSTP-TV. While he worked at KSTP-TV, he had access to the best forecasting tools and equipment during that time.
In addition, during the late ‘90s, he joined WMTV-TV in Madison, Wisconsin as a chief meteorologist for 15 years. While in Madison, Wisconsin, he made a mark on communities across Southern Wisconsin as he was actively involved in community events, non-profit work, public speaking, and school lectures.
Furthermore, he is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, and to acquire the Certificat, applicants must have completed all math and science-based curriculum for meteorology, informational value, pass a rigorous written exam, have their work reviewed to assess technical competence, explanatory value, and have skill at communication. During his spare time, he enjoys family activities, home renovation, exploring new places, occasional golf, and taking a nap.
