Nancy Preciado is an American reporter, anchor, and producer working for Telemundo Valle Central and KGET 17 News. where she serves as a weekday anchor, reporter, and producer. She joined KGET 17 in September 2016.
Huntington Park is her birth home and Los Angeles was where she was brought up before she relocated to Bakersfield with her mother. Preciado attended Highland High School where she graduated with a diploma and later on, she joined Fresno State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communication in June 2014.
Nancy interned at PBS Kids and worked at Telemundo Fresno as a fill-in reporter and promotions team member. In addition, she worked for the broadcast team at the Mountain West conference where she covered all of Fresno State Sports. She discovered her love for sports while she was at Telemundo Valle Central and she covered everything from international sports to local sports.
She has always dreamt of covering the men’s World Cup in Spanish and English and in 2018, her dream came true. Not long ago, she kicked off ¿Que Pasa Kern? which is a 4-minute segment for social media that shows the best of Kern County. In 2019, Preciado was nominated for an Emmy award which was also one of her childhood dreams. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her loved ones and her dog, Corazon.
