Kelly Saberi Biography

Kelly Saberi is an American reporter/anchor working for FOX 7 Austin as a weekday morning reporter on Good Day Austin. She joined FOX 7 Austin in October 2021, after previously working at KSNT TV.

Prior to working at FOX 7, she was in Topeka where she worked at KSNT News as an anchor and multimedia journalist. While working at Kansas, for three years she serves as a reporter covering politics, the Kansas City Chiefs, and rising crime in Capitol City. Saberi has also worked as an anchor and producer and her role included creating, writing, and editing the whole broadcasts each weekend.

Empire State is her native home and she was brought up outside of New York City. She attended the University of Miami and while she was at the university, she worked at the flagship live show Newsvision as a reporter and executive producer. She investigated subjects like airboat regulations that killed a student in her graduating class in the Everglades and covered tragedies such as the 2018 bridge collapse near Florida International University’s campus. Furthermore, she also interviewed restauranteurs across Miami on a segment known as The Saberi Special.
