David Rogers Biography
David Rogers is an American meteorologist working at NBC29 where he serves as a morning meteorologist. He joined the NBC29 weather team in April 2006.
For 30 years, he has worked on television and prior to joining the NBC29 team, he worked at WCBS in New York where he served as a weeknight meteorologist and later as a meteorologist on, the CBS This Morning show. While he worked at WKYC-TV3 in Cleveland, Ohio, he served as the chief meteorologist for a period of three years.
For 5 and a half years, he worked in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at KYW-TV and at WJBK-TV in Detroit, Michigan for four years and while he was at the station, he was often seen nationally as a substitute weatherman on CBS This Morning news show.
In the anchor weathercaster category, he has received several Emmy Awards. He has also been certified by the National Weather Association for the quality of his weather forecasting. While he was in Richmond, Virginia, he served as a chief meteorologist. Philadelphia is his native home and he attended Temple University where he studied at its Annenberg School of Communications.
