Lopez is an anchor who moved to Columbus, Georgia right after she graduated and started working for the ABC affiliate WTVM-9. She, later on, moved to a Fox-owned and operated station in High Point, North Carolina called WGHP-TV. While in North Carolina, she anchored for the consumer and the investigative team at FOX-8 News. She enjoys exploring and touring and this has been one of the things she loves to do whenever she is not working. She went back to Jacksonville so as to bring news to the community she care most about and loved.

Lopez also spends some of her time talking to teenagers whenever she visits the schools around her community. She advises them to look for jobs and not just sit down waiting for their dream jobs and also explains to them her first job at a cookie shop in Regency Square Mall when I was 15. After her high school studies, she landed a job working in radio and television in Jacksonville.
Dawn has also managed to enclose very well-known stories and interviews which have contributed to her great journalism skills. She also has a special project she worked on for years with the help of Family Support Services which assists hundreds of children to get adopted. Due to this project, she managed to win several awards and she is so glad to have won awards by doing the things that fulfill her heart. Lopez also enjoys hosting, public speaking, and helping in organizing events from the many nonprofits, schools, and civic groups to which she remained tied.
