Don Schwenneker is an American meteorologist working for ABC 11 where he serves as the Chief Meteorologist. He has been working for the station since joining in 2011.

Schwenneker is the Chief Meteorologist for ABC 11. He previously worked for WBBM-TV where he served as a meteorologist from January 2008 to January 2011. Prior to that, he worked for WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh from November 2000 to December 2007. Before that, he worked for WTAJ-TV in Altoona, Pennsylvania from October 1995 to November 2000. He started his forecasting career at KBIM-TV in Roswell, New Mexico over 20 years ago.

Schwenneker has also been awarded several awards including two Associated Press Awards for Best Weathercast. In addition to that, the National Weather Association honored him with a Seal of Approval and the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal from the American Meteorological Society. He finds pleasure in volunteering as a firefighter for 7 years in Pennsylvania.

Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. In addition to that, he is also a certified rescue technician & first responder. Other than firefighting, he is involved in other community and public services including Fire, Police, and EMS dispatching.
