Doug Meyers is an American meteorologist working at WIBW-TV where he serves as the weekday morning meteorologist from 5 am to 7 am and at noon from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm. He joined WIBW-TV in December 2011.
For as long as Meyers can remember, he has always been interested in weather and this made him the desire to become a meteorologist. Omaha, Nebraska is his native home, and in 2005, he joined the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he graduated in 2011, with a Bachelor of Science in meteorology. Doug did many high school broadcasts while he was at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and also produced behind the scenes in addition to being on camera during his final semester.
In addition, while he was in college, he interned at KLKN in Lincoln and at KMTV in Omaha. Meyers was also part of a weekly and live newscast produced by the College of Journalism at UNL called Star City News. During his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, and watching sports; his favorite teams are the Chiefs in the NFL and the Vikings. Furthermore, he also enjoys spending ample time with his family in Minnesota.
