Drew Carney is an American news anchor and broadcaster working as an anchor on KGW News at Sunrise. He joined KGW in Portland, Oregon, in September 2006.
His television career started almost 20 years ago while attending college at Temple University in Philadelphia. Carney’s entertaining & community-minded reports can be seen every weekday on “KGW News at Sunrise.” After graduating from Temple, Carney started out as a sports anchor/reporter with stops in the smaller markets of Abilene, Texas, and Johnstown, Pennsylvania. In October of 2000, he moved to Portland and two years later made the switch from sports anchor to feature segment reporter. Since then, he is called the Pacific Northwest home.
