Edward Moody Biography
Edward Moody is an American journalist working for WSAV as an anchor for First News at 4 and as a reporter since April 2022. He joined the station in November 2019 as a weekend evening anchor and reporter. Previously, he worked in Duluth, Minnesota at CBS3 as a weekday 6 and 10 p.m. anchor.

Moody joined the University of Missouri-Kansas City when he finished his high school education. He later graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies.

Moody works for WSAV as an anchor for First News at 4 and as a reporter. Upon joining the station, he first worked as a weekend evening anchor and reporter. When he was 10 years old, he secured his first news TV job. At the time, he served “The What’s Up Network” as an anchor and reporter. In this role, he handled his first eminent interviews with newsmakers like Martin Luther King III and Caroline Kennedy, Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf. The experience began an evergrowing curiosity about current world affairs in him.
As an adult, he has worked in the news industry for more than 15 years with anchoring and reporting roles in Rochester, Indianapolis, and Minneapolis. Also, he has won multiple awards including two Emmys and a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association award.
During his career, Moody has done everything including mediating a congressional debate and waterskiing atop a human pyramid on the Mississippi River. He has anchored live shows from two Super Bowls, one of the shows won him an Emmy. He was first on air and the last to sign off during the sudden aftermath of the main stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair in 2011.
