Eric Pritchett is an American meteorologist working at NBC29 where he broadcast weather on weekdays at 5, 6, 10, and 11 pm. He joined NBC29 in 1996.

Eric attended Staunton’s Robert E. Lee High School and Fredericksburg’s Mary Washington College. In 2006, he graduated from Mississippi State University with a diploma in Broadcast Meteorology.

Pritchett works at NBC29 where he serves on weekdays as a 5, 6, 10, and 11 pm meteorologist. While he attended Mississippi State University, he was also a four-year veteran of the university cross-country team. Prior to joining the NBC29 team, he managed and organized several political campaigns. In addition, Pritchett also worked at the Virginia General Assembly as an assistant legislative aide during a winter session.

Apart from Eric’s love for politics, he has also enjoyed following and learning about the weather since childhood. Furthermore, he is a member of the National Weather Association and the NWA Television Seal of Approval was awarded to him in 2001.

In 2006, Mississippi State University awarded Eric with a certificate in Broadcast Meteorology. In addition, he is looking forward to completing additional coursework in order to earn a Bachelor of Science in the Geo Sciences program from Mississippi State University. During his free time, he enjoys model railroading, running, and kayaking.
