Erin Morgan is an American award-winning journalist working with WCBD News 2, in Charleston, SC, as a news anchor. She joined the station in March 2022, as an anchor and reporter and currently anchors the 4 p.m. newscast Monday-Friday and is also part of The Investigators team.

Morgan studied at the University of Tennessee, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Electronic Media in 2017.

Morgan started off her career as an intern at WBIR in Knoxville while still in college. She then became a broadcast journalist at WMBB-TV in Panama City, Florida. Morgan covered controversial stories within local government and was part of extensive team coverage during, before, and after Hurricane Michael, a historic category-five hurricane that devastated the Florida Panhandle.
Before this, she was a reporter and anchor in Memphis, Tennessee. There she several national stories such as the multi-day search for an escaped inmate and accused killer, the world’s first voice box reconstruction, and devastating tornadoes in DeSoto County, Mississippi. Morgan also co-anchored the weekend morning newscasts which led her to her love for being behind the anchor desk.
She then moved to the Lowcountry where she became a part of the News 2 team in March 2022 as an anchor and reporter. She reports every weekday on News 2 at 4 p.m. and also on her investigative reports. Away from work, she enjoys spending time exploring the Lowcountry, being with friends and family, reading a good book on the beach, or traveling.
